.ram files Get a bigger avatar today!

recently, i have come across a few sites that have sound files, but in .ram format. I cannot play them

What software do i need, and more importantly, is it free?

They are real player files, and you'd be better off not watching them than isntalling that festering piece of ****.

I think there might be another player that can run them, but I don't remember what it's called.

There are also some video/audio converters that can convert real files into mpeg or avi.

Suffering from ads?

I had real bundled with my comp. Played stuff fine, although I prefered my other player. Only then I start to get some trouble with bbc news .rams so I upgrade. Big mistake! ****ing ****s! Crashs on start every time. Quicktime wont work. I just want my news dammit

edit: the censor seemed to miss the C word....oops

real has issues playing nice with other players.

it also has stability problems on some systems.

it also won't ****ing shut up about how good their premium service is.
