lunar eclipse Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

The lunar eclipse tonight is pretty cool. We have a telescope, and my little brothers and my dad have been spending most of the past hour or two outside looking at it. It's a full eclipse right now. You can make out the moon a little bit still. It was coolest when there was just a sliver with light still shining on it - the rest of the moon was reddish.

Binoculars are good, too -- even naked eye veiwing is fine with events like this.

It's bright enough to see from inside a darkened room, if you don't want to brave the cold, and it's not done yet, so...

I watched it through my birding scope.
Viewing conditions were excellent, with full eclipse at 2 AM.

Still the moon looked brownish rather than red to me, might've been the many clouds though.
