Looking for help in a mind-numbing, but rewarding task! Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Hi there!

I'll be frank and to the point.
I am currently making a set of maps for Bitterfrost ToT, but also for Dictator 3 ToT!

I need help from any bored or enthusiastic posters in gathering city placement coordinates from a save file,

I have already listed the cities below, what I need is some helpful souls to take a civ list each,
and refer to the attached save file,
using 'V' button, the 'view mode' to place the cursor on each city get each of the tile co-ordinates.

This will speed the making of a WW2 ToT map by a huge degree.

Anybody game?

If so, I will post the save file...

I WOULD MOVE IRAN AND KABUL TO NEUTRAL ALLIES. SAME WITH BELGRADE AND RENAME Eastern AS CHINA.

Ben, about adding cities:

This is sadly not possible, due to the maximum city limit being reached already!

I wish the Civ2 unit and city limit could be increased, but it is an impossible task!

Okay, here's my suggestion.

Kill the cities in S. America, and replace them with cities in Indonesia. They play a large role for the Japanese in WWII.

Why do you have the date start in July 1940?

Put an end to popups!

Do you have CiC, Curtsibling?

If so, check out the East, Wind, Rain scenario, an excellent version of the Pacific War, and Japan's role in the Second World War.

I think this is an ambitious project, having both fronts. You really get to see the burdens of the British Empire, having to defend at home, and in Hong Kong.

If you don't have the scenario, I can send it to you.

Otherwise, I'm glad I could be of assistance.

Yep, I have played CIV since the beginning.

EWR was a fine scenario, but you will appreciate the problem of limited cities
and representing the more important European fronts and the Atlantic arena.

But I am willing to drop a few useless neutral cities to make allowance for any far east cities you think are really lacking...

Three cities for Argentina is way too much.. you should leave only Buenos Aires... Same for Brazil, maybe leave Rio and perhaps another city in the north...

i dunno, i'd have to check...

and some more suggestions:

Give the engineers two movement... for what they cost, they are pretty crappy the way they are... I'd also suggest you put them in the engineer slot... they work waay to slow for my liking...

if you ever do a version 4, i'd suggest you use another map... the current one has tons of useless empty territory, like Antarctica and the Arctic, which could be stripped from the map in order to make the important parts larger (in fact, i'd even cut south america's southern tip and make the map south up to tasmania...). Also, i have a feeling that the Pacific is waay too large (and that hole where the bering strait should be )
