	Computer problem: images don't load Get a bigger avatar today!

Hey guys --

For the past day or two, my computer and the internet haven't been friendly with each other, as the 'net refuses to share images with me.

Silliness aside, no images are loading. Not even the smallest of icons. IE sits there and says it's downloading a picture, and the progress-meter moves a bit, but the picture never downloads. Web pages download fast, but no images -- not even if I stop the loading and click "show picture".

It's making reading 'poly hell (the ALT tags absolutely destroy the formatting) and it's more stress than I need when I'm trying to quit smoking cigarettes.

I'm on a cable modem. This should not be happening.

Any ideas would be very, VERY appreciated

Try another browser. Opera is nice.

If that isn't for you, perhaps take a look through internet settings or some such menu, paying particular attention to any settings relating to images/media.

Does it happen with all websites or just 'Poly?

BTW, Firebird is a very nice browser.

Most of the problems can be fixed by switching to a better browser.

Mozilla sounds like some kind of cheese

and I've never heard about Firebird before... Maybe I'll take a look some day...

Firebird is a standalone browser (i.e. no e-mail client). The latest version (0.7) is very stable. You may want to give it a try.

i have the same problem sometimes. I just close the browser and restart and it works

REBOOT
