Keep in mind that the producers of video games have squat for control over release dates on their games unless they are also the publisher. In this case, its all in the hands of Atari(Infogrames). So, if the info on release dates that Firaxis has is bad, its probably because they were given poor or inaccurate info by Atari.

I have ordered it from Amazon UK 4 weeks ago and even if I am not on rush I haven't yet received it.
I suppose the cause it is not Amazon but the release date.
This is a major and unjustified mistake that will declare to the entire globe how much fake is the press info of Civ 3 managed by fireaxis.
An error hardly tolerated from me

Gameplay pushed their listed release date back to the 21st early last week.
The main reason I pre-ordered is that I knew I would want the game and that way I will get it and be somewhat frustrated over the delay, rather than totally pissed off having chased around to try and get one.

A shop in Oxford Street had it on Saturday - but only the box. They told me they wouldn't have the box's contents until this Friday. Aaarrrggh!
