Hehehe...I bet that atleast 50% of you guys thought this thread was about getting lucky.

But no.....


This thread i about gambling. Casino wise.

Just to tell you all that I went to the Casino last friday night and I won 2417$!! WOOHOO!! And you guys know what? With ony 2$!

Me and my friends had been to the casino for about 30 minutes and I was watching my friend play on a sloth machine because we were supposed to go play some blackjack after he spent his 5 dollars in change. But he just kept winning and loosing and so one. So after 30 mins, the lady next to him left her machine. So I decided to try these machines (Which I hate...or hated...) and put 2$ I had in my pockets to kill time. Well, on my first try I won the jackpot! 2417$! Weeeeee!!

After we went to play Black jack and roulette but I lost 150$. We went homw afterwards!

Damn, I hate machines and always will because it is only there to steal your money while black jack you can make some decisions but damn am I glad I put those 2$ in!

So what kind of games do you guys like to play? What is the max you ever won?

I've never won money... the only thing I remember winning:

- Some zippo lighter (I won once, but by mistake I got two)... and I don't smoke, or use lighters to anything else... (One of them was traded to a DVD movie a friend of mine won... he didn't have a DVD player, so I traded... it was a boring movie thoug)
- A "personal book" was what they called it... never arrived, but who cares... I never read anyway...
- A few minor stuff (A small noise ball, some lego, etc) as I was about 6 years old... Not much...

I play games that require less luck than blackjack or slots - POKER!

I'm gonna try to go to Vegas next summer, we'll see what happens.

I consider myself very lucky in the things that I really care about but I share Slowwhand's luck when it comes to betting.

I never bet to win anything. I'll lose a few bucks at blackjack and consider that the cost of my entertainment . . . Or I will buy a lottery ticket ( and YES I took stats) every once in a while -- The buck on the lottery is worth it for the fantasy of what I could do if I won

I play poker socially ocaisionally. I spend most of my gaming time on PC games and wargames. And I get lucky. Among other things, I was know in wargaming as"Victorious through better dice", due of course to my pre game ritual of sacrificing left over pizza to the dice god.

In terms of odds, the most money I won was $22000 with $10, betting on some horses. In terms of straight $$$, $75,000 on a bet of $500.

Hehe, I once went to the horses as a work trip and I bet a whole £2 on a horse. It was number 7, and the owner was Irish...and it won I made £4 which I bet on something else and lost, so I broke even. But in general, no, I am not a gambling man. I am fairly risk averse so I don't tend to do this kind of thing unless the odds are heavily in my favour. Needless to say with something like the lottery, they are not
