Squat and DLing freak me out. I'm tall and its all too easy to screw up my lower back muscles. I'll have a crack if I'm in the gym but I do most of my workout at home. Any suggestions for a home workout?

I was a little bit hasty to use the word "always" in my last post. I should have asked you your age because it does make a difference to what level of workout intensity a person can handle. I'm in my mid 30's. I'm not trying to compete, but I am trying to build mass so I go heavy every day. I don't work a body part more than once a week except abs. I do Squats & Stiff Leg DL's weekly for legs and I do powerlift DLs for back every other week.

both are great excercises but both can really **** up your back if you do them wrong.
edit: just remembered theres also a lovely picture of what can happen if you try to squat too much at rotten.com, its title is simply "weightlifter".
