	Who has GWT contacts? Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

I noticed that Dominae posted in the 133 Turn thread that someone should PM Sir Ralph to see if he can be of any help in getting GWT past the current dilema.

Does anyone else have any GWT contacts or friends?

If anyone feels they know Sir Ralph well enough to PM him, please post here that you will so that he doesn't get his PM box spammed. If anyone else knows any other potential contacts, please post here that you're talking to them.

We certainly don't want to harass or annoy them. We just need to try to understand where they're coming from, and get them to back down on their threat to leave the game.

Sir Ralph apparently called Theseus (?) on the phone in the PTWDG when GS was attacked by Vox... I'd think that's a pretty safe bet at someone he trusts.

Theseus, could you talk to him? Others from GS or others that know Sir Ralph well, would you be able to talk to him?

If so, please consult with Togas about this.

I could PM Sir Ralph if Theseus isn't around. We haven't spoken on the phone, but that's probably only because it was Theseus who was nuts enough to leave his number in the forum with specific instructions to call him when the next turn was in *no matter what time it was*, not me. SR called him at like 3am to discuss dealing with a large stack of Immortals.

I've had a lot of contact with SR, and I'd say we're on very good terms. But I should probably get this thing exactly straight before I agree to try and intercede.

Ok, I read some of the discussion over at 1bc.

Blah. I think I understand where GWT is coming from. They're annoyed because they see this as changing rules mid-game. I happen to disagree with their position, but I understand it. EDIT: having read some more... I think I would have understood an objection from them when this first came up, but once they replayed a turn, apparently accepting the ruling, that should have been it. *sigh*

Anyway, if the team wants me to, I will PM Sir Ralph. My first move, however, would be to simply ask if he's at all involved in the game at this point. It's entirely possible he has next to no role on their team (lurker). He kinda got fed up with demogames for a while... and though it appears he's enjoying PTWDGII, I wouldn't count on him being influential in the ISDG. If he *is* taking an active interest, I will express our desire to keep the game going and whatnot, and ask if he can help convince his teamates to accept the ruling and continue.

I frequently talk with Zayxus and Darekill for PTWDG issues. However, neither of them are very involved in GWT affairs. Unfortunatley, I have missed the last 2-3 weeks of chats since I am usually away in the mornings and early afternoon.

I will try and speak to them this time around.

Please do what you can. See if SR is very active or active enough to give us their side and take up the charge of convincing GWT to not leave the game over this issue.

There are some ND/GWT people on MAST in the PTWDG2. I'll send them some PMs as well just to ask if they have involvement in the GWT.

Sir Ralph got back to me. He says his involvement is minimal (lurker), as I suspected, and he doesn't particularly care whether or not GWT quit, though he doesn't think they will. His understanding of the situation was limited, and he told me he frankly doesn't really want to know more than he does. He did mention members quitting (and alluded to what happened inside the Gathering Storm in PTWDGI) because of the situation.

At the end of the day, he isn't going to be helpful in convincing GWT to do anything, simply because he doesn't really care and has practically zero involvement.

Guys, I REALLY think we need to continue to persue (sp?) these "contacts", one of these guys may be able to give us insight that would help the negotiations with GWT.

Or better yet if a relationship is confirmed, maybe we could get a new ambassador or a new assistant.

We need to keep working this.

Many things in this world are settled based on an existing relationships.

Too bad about Sir Ralph but we need to keep trying.

Yesterday talking with Octavian and mongoose, Oct asked us if we had heard about GWT at all, I told him we haven't had any correspondence in like a month and he laughed. It seems GWT has spoken even less to them and that feanor0815 is also their ambassador...

I don't see how a team like GWT expects to win this game by treating diplomacy like it doesn't matter. Oh well, it's their problem

It's my understanding that, though the membership is similar, that GWT and ND are run by different groups. I am pretty much in the same boat as MZ. If GWT was the same as ND, I'm sure we could get a quick and fair resolution, apparently that is not the case. However, I might email some of the people I know just to see whats up.
