See how this route looks, Dave. By my count, and guessing that south of the forest, we have Grass->Hill->Mtn, that gives us 5 or 6 flat tiles (depending on where we terminate the road), 3 Hill/Forest tiles and 4 Mountain/Jungle tiles to road. That's two extra 3x tiles, but 6 or 7 fewer flat tiles and one fewer 2x tile to road, and a two turn move difference. The cow gives us a decent city spot about midway, too.

Of course, it's 3 am as I post this, so somebody double check me, please.

It needs to be discussed. We'd have to cross more jungle this way. By the way, no need to open a new thread for each question. This splits up the discussion and leads to misunderstandings and double work. This remark would have fit nicely in Daves thread.

The only reason for the new thread was I originally tried to put the picture in as an attachment, and didn't have the option in the other thread. Only after that didn't work did I go through the upload service, at which point the new thread damage was already done.
