Of course, it's definitely an exploit. Units should not be able to move twice or go without ever being unfortified.

I bet this will be an almost unanimous poll. Unless all the testing done on it was completely flawed (hard to believe) it's definitely an exploit.

yes, I would say that even firaxis viewed this as a problem as they have fixed it in conquests.

If mongoose rules it as one, for the purposes of this game it IS one.

As for my own personal opinion, everything like this, including things we aim to do like the Palace jump, can be an exploit. Whether it is a fair one or not is the real question. Fortify all is fair as long as everyone knows and uses it, but for the benefits to the last player in a row it is NOT fair. Thus the only way is to avoid anyone using it.

Yes, since I discovered that all units fortify at the start of the new turn rather than when the player's turn next comes around.

In short, anyone who plays later than their oppo gets an advantage that their oppo does not. That is the very definition of an unfair advantage, or exploit.

Sure, an exploit. A bad one. Basically, if you go after your opponent, you are using "superunits" that can move at will while being fortified all the time. That's 25% more defense.

Well in that case yes I do.

But again what I think is largely irrelevant in game terms.

Exactly. Don't leave over this BigFree. You've been one of the driving forces behind Apolyton doing well in this game. I don't necessarily care for the way the posts at 1BC were handled, but that doesn't mean I want to see you leave.

BTW, I think it's safe to say the team as a whole agrees that what GWT was doing was an exploit, and even if we didn't the game moderator has ruled it as one.
