resource/luxury frequency question Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

ok, editor help confuses me on this

in editor, higher number means more resources/luxuries? in dissapearance higher means Less likely to dissappear? appearance higher number means less likely to appear?

i want to increase most resources by abou 1.25 to 1.33. 0 means total random, right?

once had this down.....

That's right. A number of 150 means there'll be 1.5 resources per civ. A number of 200 means 2 per civ.

It's an odds thing. A number of 200 means a 1/200 chance each turn that it will disappear. 1000 means 1/1000 chance, so it would be very unlikely to disappear. Conversly, if you set at 1, it's guarenteed to disappear every turn. I have a few resources I've added set at 3, so they don't usually stick around very long.

So you would increase the number from 125 to 133.

That's right, and a disappearance number of 0 means they'll always remain. [/QUOTE]

The Appearance Ratio determines how many of a particular resource is placed on the map at the beginning of the game. And yes, if a resource disappears, it will automatically reappear somewhere else. The number is fixed throughout the game, and determined when the map is first created.
