Vaugh Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis is another possibility. Lots of passionate surging in that one, too.

One of my friends told me that once he'd just finished the dirty deed and he was in the middle of collapsing on his paramour in exhaustion, when the mp3 playlist changed and a new song came up.

It was Mendelssohn's Wedding March.

Isn't that nice? Like a pat on the back from your computer.

I'd like "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition a bit better in that instance.

I suppose you'd be looking for something with a constant rhythm or perhaps something that speeds up at the end.

OR

Tchaikovsky - Peter and the wolf , the part when the violins plays.. you know the melody right? It's pretty cool, I get chills from those violins kind of, though it's kind of for children, but anyway, I bet they'd be great when making out.

I think you'll find that the violins play rather consistently throughout Peter and the Wolf...as they do in most orchestral pieces.

They do.. but I can't explain the part other than that..
It's good anyway the I have 27 minute version of it, which has a woman telling the story, and the music plays in between and all the time. It's good one, I'm not very much into childrens stories but this whole packege I like and listen every now and then.

One version has enough redundancy to make me want to scream after hearing it a few times...but 6?!

I'm interested in how the cannons would effect your performance.

I saw that performed once at Leeds, but the cannon wouldn't work so the conductor asked the audience to stamp their feet at the appropriate times.

True story.

Depends on how down and dirty I am.
If I'm simply sad about something (mostly because of love pain), I like to hear blues, particularly stuff by Led Zep or Pink Floyd. It doesn't really put me back into a good mood, but it somehow makes me feel better anyway.
If I'm simply angry, I turn on loud and hungry metal, particularily by Majesty (a southern German metal band).

Enya generally, not too distracting for a nice long evening. Plus we both like her music.
