Well I notice too that their is a lot of new job positings were I am looking for a job, the problem is that every time I go on a interview it seems like I never make it. It is hard to go for months looking for a job and no one hires you.

Tell me about it. You might want to take a week or so off on "vacation" from looking for work, to get refreshed, so you won't be thinking about all the rejections.
BK, thanks, but I've been working since March. I just expect my contract to end in mid-January, unless some new project comes up that my manager can charge to another department. I know they didn't get an increase in their budget this year, so that means they probably didn't get the money to buy my contract out or extend my contract through March, 2005.
I do need to get the heck out of Jax, though. I need a more intellectually stimulating town. I'm looking at: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minniapolis-St. Paul, NYC, Washington, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Toronto, etc. Wouldn't mind Austin, but BG vetos any move to Texas. A university town would also suffice. Wouldn't mind moving to Europe either.

Call it keeping the incentive to produce. |
Oh right, like anyone making lots of money is just gonna say, "Oh well, **** it. Since I'm benig taxed, I'll just be unemployed and homeless instead. Taxation is an incentive to make more, cuz you need more to keep more.
quote: It's capitalism, baby. What would you know about that. |
Quite a bit, as a matter of fact. Just because I think it's cruel doesn't mean I don't understand it. I just have a different set of morals. One that values human beings ahead of money. Which isn't to say I don't like money. It may not buy happiness, but it sure rents a hell of a lotta fun. |
Appraently TCO is having a problem with his acount, and he askd me to post this rebuttal to myself.
"No...you have no clue. And yes incentives affect production. and yes increased taxation is a decreased incentive. Now we can quantify it sure. But if you knew anything, you would understand this concept and then move on to a discussion of subtleties. Now get on your bike and ride. The cops are coming... "
But I'm a bastard, so I won't.

Since thanksgiving is tommorow I will be forced to take a break in my job search. I find though that the best way for me to handle the rejection is to get anther interview.
