I was reading in the Give Peace a chance thread that there is some interest in a diplomacy type PBEM. I've been thinking about this for awhile and here are a few ideas for this PBEM.
1. After every few (5?) turns the player needs to post a story about what happened during those turns. A seperate thread for every player so others (not in the game) can read the progress of the game. The players of the game would have to agree to not look at the other players threads until the end of the game or when/if they are eliminated.
2. The story can be however the player wishes to describe events. Through dispatches, love letters from troops on the front, news media, myths, etc.
3. The time commitment will be much greater than a normal PBEM so only serious players should consider such an undertaking.
If there are any more comments let me know.
Who is interested in a game like this?
I am interested in this type of game but am debating whether I have the time to do it. It does sound quite exciting and would certainly be loads of fun.
