To All,

It has come to the attention of the Peace Keepers and the Gaians that both of our Factions are very vulnerable to the effects of the Space Elevator, namely the ability to drop units into the weakest parts of our empires with no immediate expectation of reprisal, and so therefore after much intense negotiations, the Gaians and the Peace Keepers announce an Alliance which states simply that if either of our Factions are attacked by the use of the Space Elevator, that the other Faction will immediately come to the others aid.

The turn has been sent to Archaic.

The Believers salute the peaceful intent of the new Alliance as in accordance with the will of God but wonder as to why we have not been invited to join .
The Space Elevator would also threaten our people and currently it is far from being built by anyone. Also the Believers question why only Space elevator assisted attacks would invoke the alliance . . . should not friends assist friends against any attacks from the ungodly ??

The pacifist leaning Gaians are of the opinion that the Space Elevator can be used as an offensive weapon, and therefore the treaty was negotiated with the idea of mounting an asserted response to such a specific threat, and thus hoping to dissuade anyone from building it with conquest in mind. As far as why the Believers were not invited to join: the Gaians thought process was to reach out to a Faction that is as vulnerable to the effects of the Space Elevator as ourselves, as well as being the least likely to obtain such an SP, besides. However, if the Believers wish to join this alliance in its set form as well, then by all means have your Believer diplomats that are not currently on holiday celebrating the Holy Days post here that you so wish it, and it will be granted.

The University would love to know why the Believers are putting forward such peaceful platitudes when they construct Planet Buster class missiles in range of faction capitals. Generally, when you are showing that you are a peaceful people, you put your guns away, and pull your forces back from front line bases except for defensive garrisons, not advance drop troops to within range of the other faction's territory.

For the information of those in the Peanut Gallery, the University has already joined the alliance Re: The Space Elevator. Not like it seems it shall make such a difference, with the good Brother Flubber seemingly actually reading his conclave bible, and deciding to follow its example of what to do with those who choose not to believe in their invisible man in the sky.

A shame that the Iron Chariots of Judges 1:19 aren't as likely to be effective this time. Judah brought some of his own this time.

The Bishop's Council has become aware of a all the details of a travesty known as the Cloning Vats wherein man is intruding into areas of God. Only God should make man.

It has been determined that the unbelievers that have created this sacriliege shall be smitten with the full force and power available to God's people. We regret any deaths and take solace in knowing that the Godly among them will be welcomed into the arms of the Lord.

Perhaps we should not have been so trusting, that you would not betray the world. Instead of a Garden of Eden for us all, you seem to wish to bring about a Relevations by starting the mass bloodshed early. May you all suffer the same fate as those who remained on earth. You certainly seem like you're planning to bring about the same scenario.

Of course, you do realise that he would have come down to *Earth* if he existed, do you not? If he came, he came during the nuclear war that followed our passing from Earth. Looks like you've missed out. It's not like he could have taken you all anyway. The figure was a scant 144,000. Of course, with the whole nuclear war bit, there may not even have been that many people left alive.

The Gaians and Peacekeepers had the right idea all along. Repeat not the mistakes of ages gone past.

The Believer Defense ministry issued a statement


The abomination known as the Cloning Vats has been destroyed by a single strike with an MX-2 Protector Class Missile. Believer forces stand at high alert but have not fired upon university troops or civilians in any other location.

Prior to this strike the University forces were mobilizing in a massive numbers and the UNiversity were building multiple Protector class missiles . Believer missiles and satellite based weaponry has been placed on the highest alert in anticipation of UNiversity response


The foreign Ministry also issued a statement


The Believer nation continues to enjoy good relations with the Gaian and Peacekeeper nations. Our actions have violated no signed treaties with those peoples and we look forward to continued positive relations

Turn 2218 to Darsnan. The Peacekeepers are too busy trying to grow. However they did hear a loud distant bang and Satellite surveillance indicates a new lake in the middle of University territory.

Many PK citizens paused in the fields and offered a silent prayer for those that perished.

The Gaians balk at the atrocity committed by the Believers this turn, and openly wonder what God would admit to followers so heineous as to commit this ultimate atrocity not only against another human Faction, but against Planet itself! Be warned, Brother Flubber, Planet will not long hold back its vengeance and fury from this callous jape! Woe to those who follow the banner of the Crusader Brother Flubber!

Never got t_ras's email, but I've got the turn. Sorry for the wait. Work's been a killer, and with the injury I got last week (Or rather, the painkillers I got for the injury), I wasn't in much state to play the game either. I won't be much longer.
