raises another issue - is civ a video game? look at any game or site about "video games" its almost always about console games. Issues with violent games are usually about FPS'. One of the things that annoys me is that the reputation of games like Civ or even the Sims suffers in the public eye cause of console games and FPS'.

I hate FPS', they are mindless and idiotic... IMO

Still, I don't think the video is game is responsible for violence, if anything it allows kids to vent in a much less destructive manner. If there is a corrolation between games and violence I think the core issue is lack of parental intervention, to be there to help kids to discern between reality and imaginary. Even before console popularity this was an issue with kids thinking they are superman, and now that consoles are used to "babysit" they are absorbed more into the imaginary than ever before. Thus, it isn't the games, the movies, whatever... It's bad parentening, and that is something that is becoming more and more the norm.

Technically one cannot "lighten up" in simply a split second. One must go through a labourous process of purging and dieting before they can even begin to see changes in weight and it's disturbution in the body.
