Well if you can get 4 you can start your own mini-tourney, and they join in the 'proper' tourney next time, when we should aim for 16 players overall.

Agreed. However, this means that it is theoretically possible for a 1-point person to inflict damage on their opponent.

With attack 0 is better than defense 0, you mean? I sort of assumed that attack of 0 = no attack. Perhaps a default of the defender wins?

Skanky looks to the crowd, and the emperor stands to hold out his arm. He remains this way for what seems to Jamskius as an eternity, but finally, in response to the crowd's baying for blood, he turns his thumb downwards.

Skanky steps forward and raisees his mighty blade. It is a clean execution, with the blade hitting Jamskius's unprotected neck first time.

As Jamskius's head rolls away bystanders swear to this day that it said "it's my fookin' competition you know'.

If we are going free-for-all structure, then I must insist on my bonus hitpoint for actually having won a fight.
If we want to continue the tornament, then we should disqualify Tass and appoint another person in his place to fight the formidable Spikian of Physiciae.

I'll run this round. Tass has 24 hours to send in his orders or he is disqualified. If any of the late joiners want to be bumped into the main tournament, pm me. First pm I receive will be given the position should Tass fail to reply before then.

Ossus the Brute vs Asmodean the Varangian Round 1

Ossus the Brute started walking side to side. The crowd waited anxious on who's going to make the first move… Asmodean the Varangian kept walking towards Ossus, who kept avoiding him…

… after a few minutes, Ossus finally made a move, and managed to cut one of Asmodean's fingers of, resulting 2 damage…

Asmodean quickly throw his rope on Ossus to avoid being hit by him again, and quickly sent his sword to Ossus' head… cutting of his ear… this loss costs him 2 health points…

… Ossus threw of the rope, and started circling Asmodean the Varangian…

Tass and Spikie were fighting when suddenly a UFO came and automatically inflicted 10 points of damage on Spikie!
The UFO also gave Tass 10 more PERMANENT points! Wow!

So now tass has 21 points for any battle. Spikie is DEAD

"Who dares to fight me!" he challenges the crowd!
Various voices, eager at the chance to prove their bravery soon call out. Spacius Cowdius' voice rings out loud and clear, as does Nuclarius the Brute.

But lo, just a moment before one of the would-be challengers could climb into the ring, a certain Fratre Tassadarius arrives by chariot having travelled for weeks from the outer provinces. He strides purposefully towards Spikian.

Your orders are needed, Spikian.
Also, Spacius Cowdius and Nuclarius the Brute are up against each other. PM me when ready.

Fratre Tassadarius strides up to Spikian of Physiciae, bringing his sword up and letting forth a mighty blow - which is deflected just at the last minute. Spikian manages to draw a little blood from Tassadarius before he manages to get back to a defensive stance.

Spikian of Physiciae - 10 hitpoints
Fratre Tassadarius - 9 hitpoints
