Vovanus Scipio Ursacius stands in the arena as Spikian and Tassadarius continue to dance.

Suddenly out storms Tyndareus Antleridus, armour gleaming and death in his eyes. He pushes past the other two gladiators and charges directly towards Vovanus. They fight!

Tyndareus strikes with accuracy, causing 3 damage. Vovanus replies with lightning reflexes and is almost blocked, but not quite. Tyndareus reels from the blow, now down by 4 health. The crowd cheer at the sight of significant amounts of blood.
The two move apart and begin circling again.

Possible rule inclusion:

Allow being attacked by two people at once. You will need to allocate points towards defence for each enemy, and skill to attack each enemy. Power could probably be the one number - swing it just as hard at both enemies.

For example:
Attack Jamskius 2, Attack Skanky 2
Defend Jamskius 2, Defend Skanky 2
Power 2

Obviously with this system the person being ganged will be at a serious disadvantage. This rule might be an interesting inclusion though, perhaps even being used for a multi-person brawl.

Interesting idea, with group fights, but I think then you would need a larger limit on the number of points you have. Otherwise, there would be very little variance in the distribution of orders. I'd say, if between three and four people are in a fight, everyone gets double their normal points. five or six - triple.

So crowd...we are gathered here to witness this most epic of fights:

Round 1 of the championship battle between ADG Mysterius and Sheepus of Germania. The contestants have been warming up all morning, and they should now be ready for the bout.

The contestants are circling each other, trying to spot an opening in the defenses of the opponent. Both have advantages in offense but the defense of ADG looks superior to that of Sheepus, what with his sword and shield, while Sheepus only has a net and a trifork.

Suddenly Sheepus throws his net at ADG. The crowd roars....but he misses, and ADG moves past the trifork to lash out at Sheepus with his sword. Sheepus has no chance to dodge, and ADG cuts a gash in Sheepus right arm for two points damage.

Sheepus quickly recovers, though. He has his net secure again, and quickly throws it at ADG Mysterius. This time he catches ADG on the wrong foot, and the net holds ADG. Sheepus follows up with a stab from the trifork - it sinks in to the left thigh of ADG for three points damage.

So after round 1 ADG Mysterius has 7 points remaining, while Sheepus of Germania has 8 points remaining.

Player1: Attack 2, dodge 3, power 5
Player2: Attack 3, dodge 2, power 5

Player1 attacks as hard as Player2 dodges, and the same the other way around...

A random stable-hand passes Tassadarius a replacement sword as once again calls from the crowd for blood grow louder.
