Team Monkey is announcing that it has established an internal government structure and philosophical framework known as SECA - the Simian Eco-Commune Administration. This reflects the Monkeys view of the status of all intelligent species on the planet, AND the prime requirement to protect the environment of this wonderful world we inhabit.
We, the Simians, take it upon ourselves to ensure that all civilized nations of the world adhere to an eco-friendly expansion policy. We fully appreciate the growth needs of your nation, and the handicap that jungle and forest present. However, you must appreciate that the treed areas of our world are not only home to indigenous species, but they are also key to the atmospheric health of our world. Therefore, consistent with the policy we had previously posted, Team Monkey will insist that our foreign relations be based on an understanding of our eco principles. We acknowledge your right to expansion, but would like to negotiate with you regarding the limitations on de-forestation, and agreement on future forestation initiatives - a science which Simian researchers have great hope for.
Furthermore, we Simians, as the oldest race on the planet, feel that we must insist that respect and dignity be afforded all races, and all species in this world.
(In saying this, we acknowledge that lumberjacks, especially those that dress up in women's clothing and hang around in bars, are neither a race nor a species and can be exterminated freely on sight.)
A final point to be discussed is our status as a commune. This should in no way be associated with that perverse form of government know as communism. Despite what the F3, or F4 screens may show, our government is a an open form of all-inclusive democracy. Our commune is quiet and thoughtful, where one Simian voice is the equal of another. We generally discuss matters of government from the tree tops of our abodes, quietly munching on fruit, picking and eating fleas, and discussing affairs of state. There can also be long periods of silence, where the existentialist nature of the world is contemplated, or one or more of us just snooze off.
SECA, and what it embodies, is an enlightened way to run a civilization, and we thought it important that you know.
