We discover Mathematics and start with Currency.
Patsy mines. Max and Moritz both go 441, they will go to the south and improve the new cities there. Dennis and Bob build road. Their guard fortifies.
Gawain fortifies, the Settler founds Swamp Castle (the quest of Sir Launcelot, where all the wedding guests were killed). SC starts with Barracks, the Spearman returns to Camelot.
Sir Kay has to bypass an Izzardian Warrior in his way, goes 1 instead of 2, sees more silks. Sir Bedevere goes 4, reaches the eastern shores of Monkey gulf. Sir Launcelot goes 6, reaches its western shores.
CA will have Swordsman ready in 2 turns. We'll try to get it to size 6, it should have 10 shields then, even if that means we have to use the luxury slider. It will grow in 3 turns, may be we add a worker from CX (ready in 2 turns). I need to look what it takes to get it to 10 unwasted shields. If 11, we can make GoEP a 10 shield city too (that would be good ). If 12, GoEP will remain a 8..9 shield city and it doesn't pay to pump it up with workers. In either case, CA and GoEP will be our main cities for the war production.
30 gold, +2/turn at 2.8.0. Currency in 18 turns, but that will drop soon with more tile improvements.
I will contact Arrian tomorrow and agree to his conditions. If they don't want to move, we will have a split empire. But that's ok, as long as both are productive (1 P, 1 FP). And since we have the king of all palace jumpers in our ranks... By the way, strategically it's even good. We have both ends of the continent, which means there's no back to keep clean. It's tremendously difficult for CoD to attack us. But it's easy for us to attack them, especially by surprise.

Short analysis of our status: We have 7 cities with a total of 16 population. Pop-wise we're only third, same with land area. That's because we build very dense. Our units are 7 Workers, 10 regular and 1 veteran Warrior, 3 veteran Spearmen. Our military is strong compared with both CoD and Monkey. We are making 25 shields per turn, 3 of which are wasted. This is second place overall. The first has 28 shields (before waste); we could go on par easily here, but we're emphasizing food in some cities. We have 37 commerce, 7 of which is lost to corruption and 4 to maintenance. This is first place overall, the next two civs have 33 commerce. Science-wise we're about on par with CoD (they have WC from a hut, we have Math) and miles ahead of Monkey, who still didn't deliver its part of the Wheel+Philo/Code-of-Laws/Literature deal. Or was it Map Making? I don't remember, it's so long ago. CoD has also 7 cities, but much more land area. Their first ring is at distance 4, ours at 3. Score-wise (for those who gives a damn about it) we're third:
126 - Latin Lover
119 - Cake or Death
114 - Monty Python
109 - Monkey
101 - Tabemono
90 - MAST
88 - Sunshine
Both CoD and we were almost even and behind Monkey for long, now both of us bypassed Monkey, although CoD's score is growing faster than ours due to their larger area, which is the main score criterion in this stage of the game.
