What is Howard Dean hiding? Put an end to popups!

quote:
Dec. 8 issue — As investigative reporters and “oppo” researchers flock to Vermont to dig into Howard Dean’s past, they have run into a roadblock. A large chunk of Dean’s records as governor are locked in a remote state warehouse—the result of an aggressive legal strategy designed in part to protect Dean from political attacks.

I am having a difficult time squaring Dean's attacks on Bush policy with Dean's actions. Perhaps Howard Dean should read a bit of Watergate history and learn that coverups cause more pain than full disclosure.

Tired of ads?

Well, I hope (but don't expect) the press to go after "full and open disclosure" on this like they do the Kobe Bryant case.

Maybe there's a thank-you letter to the docs who got his ass out of the draft so he could spend most of a year skiing with a bad back?

Dodging the draft doesn't seem to be damaging to Democratic candidates. Hell they even apologize when they admit they've never done drugs. Why would he hide that?

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Doesn't matter if Dean is really hiding anything or not -- Republicans see all Democrats as evil incarnate.

Not in the primaries, but in the general election, Dean's foreign policy and national security "expertise" will be raw meat for everyone to pounce on.

Yeah, those innocent Dems...

Rostenkowski
Ted Kennedy
Bill "Is that a rocket in my pocket, or am I happy to see you?" Clinton
Daley senior and junior.
Robert Byrd
Gary Hart
Gray Davis
etc.

And that's without even giving it a second thought.

At least when the Republicans pull political bullshit or engage in blatant corruption or womanizing, they generally do it in a more subtle way, at a higher difficulty of proof, and with better spinability.

But they do it at a higher, more unforgiveable level.

Or Republican ones, for that matter, given the current occupant of the White House.
