Unfortunately, as it stands, you'd really need one of the following for this to work.

A) Some kind of anti-magic material or field. This would work the best, as if wizard spells were stopped or even slowed, few would know how to defend themselves. This is a pretty tall order, though. Primium & Orbo are good examples of this (let's see how many know what I'm referring to...).

B) Traitors within the Magic-using community. This would also work well, as presumably they could shield the others with their counter-charms. Not to mention provide information of who's a magic-user and who isn't. Probably the second best option.

C) Failing both of the above, some way of detecting magic users. While you wouldn't be able to storm Hogwarts, you could have snipers waiting for any magic user who shows their face in public a lot, has a known home or locale they visit, etc. Go guerilla, force them underground and all. Although wizards might get in the habit of consulting diviners before going on trips if they catch on to this too well. Still, the sniper rifle works well, since if you don't realize you're attacked until you're dead, you can't do anything about it.

Point of fact.... it isnt impossible to get to, its supposedly well camoflauged... in a history of hogwarts it explains that the castle will appear to be broken down and have a "warning-dangerous do not enter" sign on it!

WELL if you know Hogwarts is there, and we do, you could presumably walk inside and the spell would cease to effect you...

There are a descent # of mudbloods in the school, and wizards dont seem to have an inate ability to detect muggles, so if you got inside they wouldnt know you were a muggle unless they were specifically looking for muggles........

Pretend to be there in buisness or a new teacher, student ETC-bring a pocket nuke with you..... BOOM! Similar tactics used on every other wizard institution in the world simultaneously

Cthulhu has to be the best geometry-based monster ever made.

That said, if I had a choice between having a good deal of wizard cash and wizard abilities or having the force, I'd really have to do alot of soul-searching. On the one hand, there is the promise of magic carpets, spells and incantations, and beating up lawn gnomes for fun. On the other, the ability of the force and having a lightsaber would allow me to swat away lasers, and presumably bullets as well, plus you get all sorts of neat physical tricks, the ability to move stuff with your mind, and really great intuitive powers. In general, I'd say that the powers of the force aren't tremendously worse, they're just slightly worse and much more subtle. I think that the best option would be to have the force, but to straddle the muggle/wizard world. Such as, being allowed to visit and know about wizards, but living the majority of one's life as a normal human with really awesome powers.

How about using a lot of tatical nuclear weapons that are sneaked close my all magic schools in the world, then rig them to all explode at the same time. Of course you would be killing millions of regular humans too, but that would get the job done.
