	Harry Potter Operation: Annihilate Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

After watching Chamber of Secrets a thought ocurred to me as I thought about the movie. You have an elitist society of magic users, closed, insular, and potentially extremely dangerous. A special forces strike against Hogwort's would presumably cripple magic using society and ensure that muggles are not enslaved or made into second class citizens by the magic using elite.

(Obviously, this is also influenced by X2)


So is the assault on Hogwort's something that could happen in a Real World scenario or implaussible?

If that fails, my back up plan is to use UAVs to get around those anti-muggle spells.

You'd have to hit the Ministry of Magic simultaneously, which seems like a rather tall order considering its security. Also, how would you deal with magic users and schools in other countries? Wiping out Hogwarts won't do you any good if it brings the wrath of the international wizarding community down upon all our muggle heads.

Besides, force powers are notorious slow-acting. Magic in the Potterverse is quick and deadly, OTOH. I doubt you'd get their feet off the ground before you were writhing in pain from the Cruciatus curse.

In Baldur's Gate you can't, in KOTOR it works a little different. I distinctly remember levitating people and shooting them. Maybe it wasn't Stasis, but it'll still work on that wannabe McGonagall.

Force powers are slow acting? I dunno, force choking people works pretty fast, and if you're choking then you aren't going to be able to chant, and there goes all your Harry Potter powers.

You don't have to say anything to perform some spells in the Potterverse. Besides, even if you can choke one person out before they get you, what are you going to do about the hundreds of other wizards gunning for you while you're focusing the force on your opponent's trachea?

It's all irrelevant anyway, because the definition of the spell cast on Hogwarts is that it cannot be found by muggles. It is, theoretically, impossible. Sort of like apparating in and out of Hogwarts.

Honestly, you guys never even glanced at "Hogwars: A History", did you???

Ha, they'd whip your ass faster than you can say 'May the Force be with you'. All they'd have to do is to leave you in a full body lock (remember Neville in tSS). Without a wand you couldn't counter curse, or block it. You may get them levitating and then they'd simply lock you down... that is if they wanted to be nice.

In Book 4 they explain why none of this would work. Muggle machines don't work around Hogwarts.

HP universe would totally dominate a one-on-one fight with the Star Wars univers. Yet, if their was an all out war? The Death Star could destroy planets!!! Last I heard HP people couldn't travel through to space to excape such destruction...

Very true... in a war, Star Wars wins. In one-on-one, Harry Potter universe wins. While the Force is cool and all, it just isn't as power as the generic fantasy magic.

Why would destroying Hogwarts kill magic?

There are 2 other known schools of magic.

I'm sure there is at least 1 in the Americas......
