Simple question. Please lend some American thought to the rest of the world on the subject!

Gore would have felt the political need to do something, even knowing full well that it would be ineffective and self-destructive to do so. He might have attacked Afghanistan. But why would he have attacked Iraq? They had nothing to do with 9/11, nothing to do with Al-Qaeda, nothing to do with any current terrorism, no longer had any weapons of mass destruction, and posed no threat to American interests. George Shrub knew all of this. He simply took the opportunity presented by 9/11 (and his abysmal failure against Osama bin Laden) to do what he had already planned to do on behalf of the corporate interests to which he is beholden.

Sava,
My old friend, first it is Republicans, not Republicons, thank you.
Secondly, a true risk in war is when you send in ground troops, how many did you send to Bosnia. When it was time for Slick Willy to "Wag the Dog", there was not too much risk to bomb from far away, unless of coarse, you are Chinese embassy.
He decided to bomb a region the size of Wisconsin and call it a great effort, yes, he stopped magnificant tragedies but really with little risk. The ME is 10 fold on Bosnia and the true fact is, he doesn't have the coconuts to face the swelling problem.

And Defiant, when Repukes stop conning America, I'll stop calling them Republicons ...
plus, I think it's good that Bill Clinton didn't commit ground troops in those areas... I figured someone who claims to be a conservative would appreciate a president who doesn't waste billions of taxpayer dollars and American lives in a needless war for profit...
Quite frankly, I don't know why conservatives aren't more mad at Bush than most liberals. I mean this guy is spending more than any other president in history. He's expanded the federal government by 500,000 jobs. He's tanked the economy. He's commited us to a long occupation in Iraq for a pre-emptive war under false pretenses. He's passed a MASSIVE giveaway to pharmaceutical corporations in Medicare reform (BTW, isn't Communism the state support of industry?). He's rolling back environmental laws.
I mean, what is "conservative" about this president. If a so-called "liberal" president were doing things opposite of what a liberal or progressive policy would dictate, I'd be pretty pissed off. In fact, I was pissed off at a lot of things Clinton did.
I just don't get this hero worship you guys have for Bush. It sounds a lot like battered wife syndrome. You love this guy despite the fact he beats the crap out of the supposed ideals you hold.
