Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

It looks like I can not play our turn. I have tried playing both the original file MAST sent us and twice I tried on the second file they sent. Neither will load. I am running PTW with the 1.27f patch. In fact, this weekend I cleaned up my disk on my laptop by uninstalling a lot of software and reinstalling only what I have been using on my laptop, that includes Civ 3, the Civ 3 1.29f patch, PTW, and the PTW 1.27f patch. I have been able to load previous save game files, just not the 1325BC one. I guess someone else will need to play until we can figure out what is happening.

Orders as best as I can figured based on the 1350BC turn:

Las Vegas will complete its barracks. Set to buid a hoplite. Remove the laborer from the flood plains. Go to Sunshinia and move the laborer from the mined grassland SE of the city and put it on the flood plains. Sunshinia should be producing 7 shields. Go back to Las Vegas and put the laborer that was on the flood plains on the mined grassland. The city should be producing +1 food (which is just what is needed to grow next turn) and 4 shields.

All lthe workers should be working their jobs.

Wayne (I think that is the warrior on the mined grassland) moves to Las Vegas.
I don't think Comet is needed in any city for happiness so he should stay put unless you see something for him to do.
Zeus should move along the road to Funky Town and then S out of the city. If he sees a barb in the mountains then he should stay put until next turn, otherwise move S again.
Bro moves SE,
Gary moves SW.
Nova moves SE, S.
If Ralph has been injured he should fortify to heal, otherwise move him SW.

Results from 1325bc

Las Vegas builds barracks, starts on Hoplite

Adjusted WF in Sunshina and Las Vegas
Las Vegas at 4spt, 1fpt
Sunshina at 7spt, 3fpt

Zeus moves SW, SW, S (sees barb in mtns), then ends turn.
Gary SW
Bro SE
Nova SE, S
Ralph W (sees a barb and attacks him. Takes 1 damage)
Waynes SE, SE, FORT in Las Vegas
Comet stays put.

Adjusted tax rate to 80%. Mapmaking in 2 turns. 0gpt.

Sunshina will grow in 2 turns and will need additional mil police for that.

Suntan will grow in 3 turns and will need additional mil police for that.

We only have Comet around, and he can't watch both cities. Thoughts?

We'll soon see if it is a corrupted game save or it was somethiing with HarryH's computer. I kinda doubt it was a problem with HarryH's computer though.... Let's pray.

I think you mean the science slider to 80%.

Thanks for playing the turn Togas. Now that I am home I tried to load the save using my desktop and it gives me the same error. I was at my fiancee's all weekend and downloaded the save using the web to access my mail. Now that I am home I downloaded my mail using Outlook Express like I normally do. The save downloaded by OE works. The save I downloaded at my fiancee's using the web does not. How strange. I have played turns at her house before this way.

As for the cities, Sunshinia will do a second turn as is then I will rearrange the citizens to do another 8 shield turn. That puts the settler out in 3, not 4. Comet will be needed in Sunshinia for one turn. Then the settler will reduce the pop and Comet can move to Suntanland just in time for its growth.
