	I want an updated Iraqi flag. Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

The Iraqi flag available on 'poly is the one instituted in 1991, when the arabic words "allahu Akhbar" were added to the flag (among the three stars). While there is nothing wrong with that phrase per se, IIUC many Iraqis see it as the "Saddam" flag. The Coalition Provisional Authoriy displays the flag minus the inscription on the home page of their website.

Im not sure if this was initiated by the CPA, or by the Iraqi Governing Council. That flag should be available here.

I realize that web references still show the 1991 flag. Even the CPA site, in its info section, simply copies the Iraq section from the CIA world factbook, which has not been updated.

If 'poly is unwilling to replace the 1991 flag, would it be possible to include both? So those of us wish to express our solidarity with the IGC and the new forces in Iraq may do so, while those who wish to express their solidarity with the Saddam regime may also do so.

And if you want to add flags....

Can you add the flag of each of Russia's oblasts, one of the Soviet union, and the flag of each Soviet republic?
Also, I'd like the Korean reunification flag and the Asian flag as well.
Perhaps you can add the flag of Utah.

the flags are not there to express solidarity rather than origin/location

Mark I have a question. There are a few regional flags like the Canary Island, Baleares, the Isle of Man, etc... why there isn't the flag of Quebec?

cause we're using a vbulletin hack that came along with a pack of flags. we didnt pick them one by one. removing regional flags because not all the regional flags of the world are in is not high on my list (nor is adding any )

well that's weird. I had iraq as my flag, but now I have none. I'll fix that. I intend on keeping that my flag until the occupation ends.

Very sensible. As always with the flag debates I'm also going to point out that many people don't use a flag to indicate their location.
