Mine hasn't changed much. The File Transfer Management is the thing that Microsoft uses to send me free software from MSDN.

Yeah, yeah, friends don't let friends use Microsoft software.

The latest Sun StarOffice is actually very good, but I'm currently having hard drive space problems (20+70 gigs just isn't enough), so I can't keep it installed.

i have the winxp powertoy wallpaper changer shifting through 80 different images on an hourly basis.

this is the current one. i run the desktop in 1280×1024×32b, use nView to have one more desktop (virtual) which has the same desktop and resolution (improves performance), and i like to keep my desktop clean my own way (i turned off the auto-clean wizard).

the two folders you see below the recycle bin are "downloads", which contain, surprise surprise, links to the folder where i keep my downloads, as well as links to the music folder, and the scratch drive. i don't use the "my music" crap at all, nor do i use the "my pictures".

the more cryptically labelled "main" folder, which is beneath it, holds odds and ends which haven't been sorted: files i'm working on, for instance.

the lowermost text file is simply there because i'm in the middle of the 100% sphere grid challenge in FFX, and i want to ensure that all of my chars have 255 stats.

that particular image is of london at night, taken by the shuttle.

the taskbar is autohide+always on top, and the toolbar menu on the right is labelled "alpha", which contains all sorts of links to various programs that i don't pin to the start menu.

i do not have "most frequently used programs" enabled.

oh. it's also xp, but in the interests of performance, i switched to classic theme and then disabled the theme service (~12 more megabytes not used by windoze).

oh, and if anybody asks why mine's so blurry... check the file sizes. mine's using the absolute most compression possible on jpgs, so it's a nice 23.7k. everybody else's is at least 90k.

since there are no icons on my desktop (rather, since my desktop icons are part of my taskbar, a feature of XP, no icons are displayed) and my taskbar is on autohide, and my background picture randomly switches every 5 minutes from about 300+ or so pictures, posting a picture of my desktop is sort of meaningless.
