H-E noted in the Monkey Moves thread that we need to get more intell out of CoD and Monty.

Any ideas on how to proceed post them here.

BTW, the job of any good ambassador is to get as much info as possible out of opponents without giving them too much intell on us

Arrian is the Interior planning guy for CoD.

He has been planning turns out for Cod up to 40 turns in advance!. Source was a MIRC conversation with Arrian in the ISDG chat room.

Intell Estimate:

Ok this is based on what I know about Arrian and what we know about the relative miliatry situation:

1. We are strong to CoD
We are weak to Python
(Python may be getting ready to kick some ass)

This was posted by H-E in the 1300 BC Turn Report. This tells me we are in the middle militarily and we really dont have THAT many units right now.

2. Arrian is a Interior Minister guy right now and is focasing mainly on REXing and building. He has his turns planned out 40 turns in advance! What the WF is doing what the workers are doing, etc I know that because he TOLD me that!

Now this is my Intell guess. CoD has not been paying attention to the military situation. They have had the blinders on slowly but surely building up and REXing. Monty is building up for something. Why not TELL CoD that? Not exactly in those terms but just say we did some messing around with the file and noticed this trend? Then ask them is something going on up north? This may lead them to spill the beans and give us some more info. It is not anything they couldn't easily figure out for themselves.
And even if there is nothing to it they may put some more resources into military build up that could slow there REX build.

Thoughts? I'd like to get this out tomorrow. Or in about 18 hours for you Aussies!

I know - especially when they have wonderful land to the west. That should be a key point in your discussions with them about the site 1-1-1 of Silkfest.

Con, my CoD map looked different to the one you posted above.
It looks like you did not accept their territory map.

They have another POP7 city NW of their capital...IIRC

So...
I am thinking that they still have not expanded as much as I thought. Especially when they started with Pottery & could build early graineries.

I think their POP7 city might be a wonder city.
Add this to their expansion into jungle....just to get full rights to the silks.

Then that's the reason why their Rexing has been stunted.
