Crazy idea occured to me.

Knowing full well we cannot all 'meet' as has become tradition for me and my friends, I thought we could all virtually meet for breakfast on the Morning of the 24th of December. Perhaps even invite the other teams to attend.

The history:

It began as I was filled with boredom some 8 years ago. My regular job being 3 days a week (weekends) and 13 hours a day for those 3 days, I found myself with 4 days off each week.

Now for me, it's either make money or spend money, and when you are spending more days than you are working, you have a problem. SO...I got a second part-teim job just for kicks. Working at a car lot, actually, doing the safety/emmissions on their vehicles.

It was there I made several friends that year, and we made the first anual UnO Breakfast. December 24th, we all met at a local resteraunt before work, and packed down. ('side' of bacon at said reseraunt was a full pound)

Since then, we have all met each 24th until this year. This year 2 of my friends have moved away and another passed away. It is only me this year. Thinking on it last night, I thought a Tabemono Xmas Breakfast was a grand idea. (Admittedly it's sounding a little odd with my clear head this morning).

The basic Idea is that the morning of the 24th, we all will go out to breakfast, come back here and share the stories. Where you ate, what you had, and whatever is on your mind. Meanwhile, I am going to call my two brothers and see if I can convince them to join me here in RL.

Who is with me? Shall I take it to the public forum and ask the other teams to join in a mighty PTWDGII celebration?

How early/late do you have to work?

I'm heading out a 5 am myself in hopes to catch both my brothers before their work.

On Christmas eve we usually only work half a day (and get paid for a full day). But if you just take the day off then you have to use up 8 hours of vacation/comp time. So it pays to work the half day.

Yeah, sounds like a good idea too , but it looks as though I might be working until lunch that day unfortunately (as much as I wish I could have some time off at Christmas - can't justify it due to my medical problem earlier this year... )

So will likely be stuck with the traditional boring cereal breakfast that day

TBH I'm not sure if I'll eat anything special that day either, but what the heck, we can talk about cereal.

Both my brothers have blown me off. Gotta love my family...

Oh well, I'm just inviting everyone now. Whoever wants to join me for breakfast is welcome to come. The local "all you can eat" establishment best beware...

Yeah, I'll post out there the first of next week. Have it be more novell and not sitting for a week before the actual date.
