	How much do you know about the World Today? Got spare money?

I thought posters here would be interested by that World Today Quiz. It has five difficulty settings, and contains questions covering the whole planet, from elections in Brazil to Chinese economic growth.
Better yet, visitors are warmly encouraged to submit additional questions. Relatively easy questions are the most welcomed though, making impossible one is too easy
If enough people participate, this has the potential to be a very, very interesting Quiz.
BTW, there is also a "World History" and a Science & Technology quizzes on the same website.

BTW, IIRC Germany bought one of the islands in the Caribbean, forcing the US purchase of the Virgin Islands to protect the Canal Zone.

Does the term 'North America' include the Caribbean?

There were many German immigrants to America.

Are you telling me there were no 'German' colonies in the US?

BTW- I'm right about Greenland, after the union of Kalmar, unified Denmark and Sweden, the agreement supposedly also included Greenland.

I noticed there was an error in one of the questions:

Scandinavia is the peninsula of the Scandic mountain range, namely Sweden, Norway and Denmark (not sure about the last one, I think it is, but how firmly is it part of the peninsula geologically?).

If you want to lump Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland under one geographical name, use Fennoscandia. That will cover Karelia as well. Or just use "Northern Europe" or "the Nordic" so that the Icelandics won't feel left out.

That's more of a revolution, and not an invasion, per se. You did not have an army in England trying to kill William when he landed.

Yes, I was wondering that myself. I think Denmark is on the same tectonic plate as the rest of Scandinavia, but Finland isn't. Of course, you can always argue whether you're talking about a geological, a cultural, a sociopolitical, a linguistic or a heraldrical Scandinavia...

Louisiana was indeed much larger than alaska. It was about 1/3rd of the total US territory, today, IIRC.
