Isn't that an oxymoron? Unless it's some euphimism of some sort.

Just first year Chem.
Got an invite from the department to carry on, which I considered, but I turned it down to go into physics.
I hated experiments, in that I could get the theory perfectly, but in trying to demonstrate the theory, I would always make some kind of mistake. I blew my last lab, just a titration and the preparation of a standard solution, but the lab instructor took pity and let me use their solution.
If we have to do experiments, I want lots of time, rather than the immense time constraints of the undergrad labs. I hated the pressure.
Physics and Astronomy really suited me, since all the work involved computers, and computations, things that did not necessarily face a time constraint, or much less severe than the ones in an undergrad Chem lab.
Had I not faced a difficult second year in Chem with respect to experiments, I probably would have taken the department up on their offer, and remained in Chemistry. I would probably have my degree now, since I would not have needed nearly as much math as in Physics.
Instead, I'm an artsie, just about finished my History degree.
