It's a Warrior we have on that Galley near them: but I agree, that is an idea. But, don't we get unhappiness from it as well since we would be in their territroy when they attacked?

Actually, until I see a demo otherwise, WW does not increase simply for being at war. You have to be losing things for it to increase.

However, it will not decrease until you make peace. Interestingly, peace with one will allow a decrease in WW so that you can continue fighting others.

I would be happy to look at saves that would prove me wrong, but I doubt they can be created.

I noticed the graphics in the Top Cities list are different from last turn's. Is that just your graphics mod, Trip, or is there something else going on?

edit: It's nice to see that GWT also named a city after Lux Invicta ..!

If you're referring to Luxbergen... well, that's not really paying any homage to Lux. It's actually "Lux Mountain," which is probably referring to the 2 gem luxuries next to the city.

I basically agree with the following approach:

1) Figure out what GCA/GWT's intentions are: peace or perpetual war?

2) If peace, fine. If p.war, we lodge a complaint.

3) If mongoose backs us up, fine. If not, we inform GWT that they either snuff GCA or we will ally totally with CGN and do everything within our power to defeat GWT.

So the vindictiveness route is the last option.

If we are in a infinitive war, then all must be in war.
Wait for 10 turns, if GCA is still at war with us.
Lets make a statement that all that are not declaring war with GCA is our enemy. And that we will declare war forever on those.
Hopefully we will have peace.

Agreed. Which means I also agree with nye's point above where he agreed with trip.

I saw that... it's promising in that Mongoose seems to agree with us, but it's worrisome because he clearly wants to avoid having to force a team to make peace.

The galley is unlikely to be useful in resolving this dispute. The only purpose it can serve is to annoy. It can't actually DO anything (besides probably get sunk).

We need to keep sight of the big picture here. Sure we can go overboard and condemn GWT (it seems likely a confrontation is coming), but we have to worry about CFC in this.

I dont think we can just assume they will side with us, in fact, they have a lot to gain by taking advantage of a poly/GWT war.

I think we are probally better off (assuming there is no forced peace) just ignoring GWT's role in it directly, and doing everything in our power to screw them via CGN indirectly. At the same time we need to figure out CFC's stance and act (eradicate if need be) accordingly.
