With the successful conclusion of the current war it is time for us to begin thinking of our diplomatic options for the post-war era, a crucial time for us to hammer out a bid at actually winning this game, something that is far from certain and even farther from being easy.
First of all a team-by-team summary of what is likely to happen in the future and what should be our position.
Neu Demogyptica
Our alliance with ND should be equally strong from now on as it has been before. That is because despite the fact we are sole masters of Bob now, we are still 3rd and 4th places compared with GS and Lego and it is very unlikely that we will have time to catch up with them on an individual basis. However, together, the GoW/ND alliance is arguably the single most powerful entity in this game, both economically and militarily, and we must do all we can to exploit this.
However, there are a couple of things to do before:
1) Make ND comply with the Bobian split. We had agreed pre-war to split Bob roughly equally among our two empires. The biggest test to our long-term alliance with ND is to ensure that ND does in fact put it in practice. Then again we have 50 riders as "leverage" of course, it is best if we do this peacefully. Discussing with Aggie, we talked about the possibility of sending our Riders north on different routes in case we feel the need for a RoP rape. Note that a RoP rape, which utterly vicious, would be justified in the event that they refuse. Furthermore, we must not let this issue drag on. It should be hammered out in a single chat. We both have the maps which were agreed upon, it is only a matter of gifting the cities and respecting the borders. The more ND haggles over the issue, the more obvious it will be that they have no intention of sticking to it.
2) Establishing a Joint Bobian Defense Plan. Who knows what GS and Lego will be up to in the future, we must both be ready for any eventuallity. The biggest threat to our armies is if they are caught to far away from rapid reaction, this means stationing most troops near the places likely to be used for a surprise invention. Considering that Astronomy and Navigation will come soon, this will be more crucial than it seems now. Our biggest period of vulnerability will be the period between navigation and railroads.
3) Pulling a Tirpitz: Building a Navy. We have the mightiest army on earth. However, we totally lack the ability to project power away from Bob. Steps should be taken to begin building a navy, since it is likely that any future "adventure" will be undertaken with ND also, it is of utmost importance that both of us begin work on a navy. Part of GS's success has been its unmatched use of naval power. If we cannot compete with that, we cannot compete with them alone.

Lego
Lego is the team most likely to win this game if things remain the same. That is why we will be eventually forced to do something about that. Of course, given the sheer size of Lego, an undertaking to take them out will likely be the most difficult single thing in this demo game, one that we can't do alone. Now, the only assued way of successfuly taking out Lego (or at least permanently crippling them) is if this is done by GoW/ND AND GS. This is also best done with Cavalry and after Navigation (but not before railroads).
In the meantime, we must be very careful about making plans which might cause Lego to intervene. Lego's best bet is to maintain the current balance of power. That is the ONLY reason they helped us, not because they hate GS but because they FEAR them. GS with a presence on Bob would be unstoppable. However, GoW/ND destroying GS would also likely be unstoppable and it is not inconceivable that should such a thing be attempted, Lego will intervene against us.
Also consider that Lego's leader, Vondrack, is a very cold and calculating fellow, he can get over-emotional at times, but not likely to force Lego as a whole to do something that will not reap a considerable benefit to them.
In the short-term, we must be friendly, trade, and perhaps talk about "the future", perhaps contemplate action elsewhere though I doubt that Lego will see any threat from any of us the way things are. It is for this reason that I see much more viable to ally with GS against Lego than the other way around.
Vox Controli
Vox might very well be the Ralph Nader of the PTWDG, small enough not to win, but yet very capable of doing a BIG help to the team that does, and I don't just mean via a UN vote. It is obvious that Vox will side with Lego for all intents and purposes, but we can definitely USE them for other stuff. Thus, a close and warm relationship with Vox is essential, to make them feel that outside their side of the world, GoW is by far the best partner they could ever have.

Gathering Storm
Like Lego, our relationship with Gathering Storm will be of utmost importance in the post-war era. Despite being the losers of the war, GS is still a force to be reckoned with (I mean we have 50 riders and only then are we "average" to them). They also have the most developed empire anyway, it will take even Lego some time to fully catch up with them. However, the potential for long-term growth for GS is rather stunted due to geographical constraints and possible lack of more than one resource.
It is my opinion that GS will be a team willing to collaborate in the future some way or another. My belief is based on a few observations:
1) Their leadership is different and most of their "new" members are open and flexible, and not as resentful and pompous as the old ones.
2) Lack of resources and geographical constraint will make them eager to undertake any adventure which can potentially renew a shot of victory. At the moment, they share a fear, like us, that Lego is on hand to win this game and that by losing their presence on Bob we have effectively taken victory from them.
3) GS also has a fear of the "Yellow Peril", i.e. ND. As soon as GS sees that ND and GoW had split the continent, that fear will be lessened as they will look at bob and see two relatively even teams instead of one superpower and their appendix.
So, what to do with GS? Clean the slate and begin anew. Let's trade, lets discuss, let's be open, and let's gauge how open and willing they are, in turn, to discuss geostrategical options with us. Our best bet with GS now is to make them fell that this war is over and that all things past which had been carried up to here are, for us, all but forgotten.
I know there is A LOT of anti-GS sentiment around here. It is time to lose it. Not because because we will suddenly be GS's best buddies but because we have absolutely nothing to win by continually being a threat to them, and on the contrary, we have a lot to win by having GS as an option. Who knows, in the event we might settle for an invasion of GS or something in that league, but for the time being, the smart thing to do is keep our options open, our grudges behinds us, and look at GS not as a threat but as an opportunity. Our hatred of RP had a cold, hard logic behind it (something that RP never understood). However, continued hatred of GS is nothing short of ludicrious and benefits us in no way at all.
Roleplay
For all intents and purposes RP is out of the picture. Unlike Vox, however, most of their members have such a distaste for this demo game, that most would probably not really care about continuing to play. However, this might well be a ruse and so, despite GoW and RP will likely never have anything resembling a friendly relationship, we must be careful that RP does not become GS's Vox.

What do I want to do?
EVIL PLAN: THE SEQUEL
Obviously this is just MY suggestion on a course of action for the future, it is up to the team to discuss and refine (or change) it.
Let's start by droppin' da bomb:
LEGO IS AND WILL LIKELY REMAIN THE BIGGEST CHALLANGER IN A BID FOR VICTORY.
Now that we have that agreed (or not?), the question which begs to be answered: What do we do about it?
My suggestion from above should be very clear: An alliance between ND/GoW/GS against Lego. Nothing short will enable us to have a realistic shot of accomplishing that goal.
My reasons? Plain and simple:
1) Consider Lego armed and ready with RRs. Consider GS armed and ready with RRs. Which will be the biggest economic power? Which will be the hardest to militarily destroy? Lego. Who would you rather leave untouched? A massive continental Lego which can outbuild anyone, or a smaller, resource lacking GS?
2) Time. After RRs, invading Bob will also be a next-to-impossible undertaking which means we will be relatively safe from invasion. However, invading GS and Lego will also be equally impossible. Should Lego get an impressive advantage in the industrial era, our only option will be a very costly and uncertain invasion of Lego. On the other hand, a GoW/ND alliance might very well beat GS in a end-of-game building race for the SS (as well as increase the chances that certain vital resource will NOT be found in Stormia). So, knowing this, should you have to invade ONE of the two, which is the one we are better off crippling sooner rather than later? Obviously Lego.
3) Lego has not yet triggered its GA. It is better if that should happen now than later. Can you imagine Lego in a modern era GA getting all the space techs and components and with nothing we could do about it? I'd rather have Lego spend its GA on military building than on anything else.
now, how as GoW are we going to accomplish this?
1) Getting close to GS. Reasons mentioned in the previous post.
2) Fomenting emnity between GS and Lego. This will be our TOUGHEST job but us sneaky and vile warmongers must be up for it. Sow discourd, mistrust and suspicion, plant misinformation, double deal and use ND to also help in this. In other words, raise hell. Good thing we're actually good at these sort of things
3) Building a navy!!!!
4) Getting ready. This means planning for a large strike force of Cavalry. I'd say around 60-70. With Leo's this should not be a problem. ND should be ready with about 30-40 cavs and GS with an equal or larget amount. After navigation we can pretty much invade wherever we want. It's up to us to start prefaring for this NOW.
Finally, I know that Lego helped us out during this war, but we are The Glory of War™ we bow to no-one, we ally with those who benefit us, we backstab those who don't. It is that simple. We are here to win. If no-one here wants to win by having a "code of honor" then get your whiny asses off to Stormia where they belong!

Am I still correct that astronomy is available to us, we just didn't take it since it would reduce the cost for GS.
I have received several PM's frpm Cort Hause about Lego being our main threat. I responded that after the war is over all alliances etc reset and then we can look for the future.
In reference to "tech for cities trade" he said they are closing in on GP, so do we have any other techs.
Also I believe the time has come to end our military alliance with lego and to have theirtroops withdraw.

Seeing as I can't start new threads here at work, I thought I'd use this one to put forth a new Long Term War-Plan.
FIRST STRIKE WINS
Yep, its excatly what you think it is. Global Thermal Nuclear War. Screw this talk about invading Lego with ND and GS. Too much work for a far to little chance of victory. With the turn order the way it is, ND-GoW can plan a Nuclear strike on every Capital, FP and most "Core" cityies in the game.
Here is the break down:
We build up a DEFENSIVE force, and a Navy that makes it APPEAR that we are prepearing for an offensive. Once we get to the modern age (we will all get there at about the same time, no matter what the econ looks to favor), we build up almost exclusively Nukes (Tatical or otherwise). Have a set turn that both ND and us launch (targeting other nukes as well as Cap/FP/Core). Massive devistation. With multilple hits all around, Lego-Vox and GS-RP would then be unable to retailiate in any significant amount. Massive tiles would become unusable for long periods of time. 50% of their military would be destroyed (to include nukes), populations would be smashed and their ability to stop us from either A: building more nukes and launching them, or B: taking over the rest of the world as our militaries would be VASTLY superior to theirs.
They Key to this is turn order and doing it first. It not like in the real world, where there is time for a retalitory strike. Whoever launches first, wins.
The way to make this work is a strategy that we have used before. Fake Icey relations with ND. Put out little notes that make the rest of the world think that we are having proplems ND again. If they think our relationship has lost some of its stability, then they will be less likely to expect a dual Nuclear Assult.
