CivWorld and/or other map tools for Win32 Suffering from ads?

I want to say that the FreeCiv project is excellent. Great fun to play. However, I see that there are not a great deal of maps or scenarios available. It would be cool if someone ported the CivWorld program to Win32 (more contributed maps can't be bad can it?)!

Also, wouldn't it be totally awesome if someone developed a utility to translate from some other game scenario to freeciv. There are loads of Civ1 and Civ2 maps and scenarios out there.

I am especially interested in a scenario for Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" novels.

i heard about a map editor that you could make your own scenarios with but that might be civ2 or civ3
