What it's missing is an empire-building aspect (in my opinion, atleast). As it is, it's pretty much strictly a war game. But a good one.

It could use a bit more variety in the different empires, too... for some reason I have a hard time liking alot of them.

Oh, another flaw in the game is that there's no way to speed up or exit the combat view, and missles fly way too slowly.

Actually, it has both pause and exit buttons for combat. Even if it didn't, though, I would still rate it as one of the greatest games of all time

I knew you could pause, but I didn't know you could exit. I'll have to check the hotkeys again.


Wish I had a chance to try it multiplayer, since that's what it was really designed for... I can imagine it being an excellent multiplayer games, especially with all the spells and such. You could create quite a mage duel, I think.

I was actually thinking the same thing - maybe we could start a 'poly PBEM game.
