That first "rendering" is one of the most akward looking scenes I've ever seen used in the proffession. The main spire tower looks decent, but would someone please slam a few (robotic) passenger airlines into those nasty little (unoccupied) quartz growths behind it?

For perspective, the current skyline (as shot from a supermarket parking lot in Bayonne, New Jersey); the Empire State Building is far left, and you can make out the Statue of Liberty on the far right:
