	Gigamap for Europe Remove this text

I am making a Gigamap which will cover 61.25oN to 30oN and 5oW to 60oE, to cover the European theater in World War Two

Anyone got one already?

well, there are two stages
1: Complete shape of the map
2: Establish terrain

This will be a Scenario gigamap, and will not use default terrain types:
Old Slot Replaced By
Glacier Tundra
Tundra Steppe
Swamp Dense Forest
Jungle Suburbs

The first stage will probably be finished by sometime tommorow, and i will post the base map

The second stage will ofcourse require more research and will probably be done by Christmas day

Progress report: done most of scandinavia (including lakes). Mainland europe: done middle europe, including Rhine, Elbe and Danube. Still need to do Italy, North Africa and Eastern Europe, I will have a hard time emulating Greece! Also Blacksea will take some time.
We'll see.

Warning: This map was designed for my WWII scenario. The map cuts off Ireland, Portugal, and much of Spain.

For those interested in my scenario, it will start off in October 1939 and have three main civs: Axis, Soviet Union, Allies
and three smaller civs: Denmark/Norway, Low Countries, Yugoslavia
There will also be an unplayable Neutral side for the sake of cutting off certain points (more reliable than Barbarian units)
Using this efficient system I will be able to use all 255 city spaces on the important civs. This will make it great

the map goes up to the Urals
I know that there are some map editors which allow 'copy and pasting' which could prove the easy way of getting in the Atlantic zone, try and find a better map editor

but for my purpose, i needed the Urals
ah well,

BTW, care to post the edited terrain gifs and @TERRAIN section of the rules? That way we don't have jungle where major cities should be and swamps in the middle of forests

Yes, the swamp is going to be dense forest, the jungle suburbs (for maps sake Gems will be for commercial centre and fruit for industrial sector) also all glaier will represent tundra and all tundra will represent steppe

What do you think of the rivers and streams. Do you think more streams are neccasery?
