The Candle'Bre site is down and there appears to be virtually no activity on either forum. Candle'Bre isn't dead, right? What's the status?

the forums that are open on the candle bre site aren't for the developers, only fans, so it's very likely that they are just continuing to work in private. Still, an update or additional eye candy would be a nice christmas gift

I'm kinda curious too. The last time I checked into the private forums the project was just beginning to get going again after the main coder went MIA (hope nothing serious is wrong). Some good progress had been made in a surprisingly short amount of time.

Well, our main coder reported on our staff forum a few days ago that he is finally employed full-time and is actively working on coding for Candle'Bre again. (This is the one area in the game development that is still in a state of development, as we do have about 90% of the graphics in a usable state)

So, as much as some people want to see us crash and burn, we are not dead yet...

And if we do crash and burn, that's life. I've certainly enjoyed the journey.

Alive and kicking! Forgive the extended silence, but as has been mentioned previously, many of us (myself included) have joined the ranks of the gainfully UN employed and have been forced into pure "survival mode" which, sadly, has left scant time for the finer (and vastly more fun!) things, such as continuing to work on Candle'Bre!

However, with our Coder back on track, and me...well...getting there anyways, I'm voting for not calling us dead just yet...methinks that would be premature. True, a dreadful void of silence, but given that this is all being done in our spare time, and given that many of us have had none of that here lately (bills come first, I'm sorry to say ), it's been...yeah. Too quiet.

Coding is commencing again, however, and as soon as I get myself fully sorted out, I'll be venturing back this way with frequency too!

Firstly, an apology:

I wish to apologise to all the people out there whining for updates and eyecandy. Sorry I was so busy doing a night factory job that paid $10 an hour for the last 2 1/2 mths when I shoulda been coding. I know I shoulda made the need to pay the mortgage to avoid the bank evicting us, and putting food on the table for my family should've been second priority to you guys.

So for all those asking for eye candy, I give you this. Not much to look at, but a very important part of Candle'Bre.

If you look closely, he's already used the paint dobs filter or something close to that on them. I like 'em how they are, but I'm worried they might be to loud to read anything on them. We'll figure it out.

Good to see all the team is surviveing and i think its kinda obvious that this project will reach some kinda constructive conclusion, there are some big creative itches that just need scratching sometimes

Bumps and wild turns into the wilderness are all part of the process, so as Dale might say 'no worries mate'
