Hi,
I tried to play C3C MP between the following hardware:
INTEL P4 2.4 GHz, 512MB RAM (Host)
AMD K7 600 MHZ, 256 MB RAM
Unfortunately, C3C 1.00 is very slow. On both systems, it
takes about a second between ordering an unit to move
somewhere and movind this unit.
Is this a common behaviour?
Are there different performance needs when playing MP in
comparison to the performance needs for playing SP?
So, is the AMD too weak?
a bit sad,

The one second delay sounds very much like the lag we experience in MP.
I assume both computers are on a LAN? I have heard others complain about problems on an otherwise working LAN. I dont think it is a processor problem, and you LAN would probably be the place to start looking.

Hi,
I don't think it is the network, since my local network performance
is excellent.
Tested between the two windows PC:
------------------------------------------------------------
Server listening on TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 8.0 KByte (default)
------------------------------------------------------------
[ 6] local XYZ port 5001 connected with XYZ port 1081
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 6] 0.0-10.0 sec 112 MBytes 94.6 Mbits/sec
There must be another reason for the bad performance :-(
Anyone else who played C3(C) MP and experienced the
same?
greetings,
Jochen aka kind
