Describe your gaudily-adorned kindling display.



My mom chose a stinker this year. Broken branch tips EVERYWHERE; ornament holes few and far between; hardly emits any smell. Damned difficult to hang any ornaments on this stupid thing 'cause I can't find anywhere to put them.

The tree has been up and partially decorated for about 2 weeks, but she asked me to put some more crap on it. God, this is like that recent Doonesbury comic with the tree stating, "I feel totally slutty." Great, mine looks like a cheap crackwhore instead of a high-priced escort.

Oh, it's a fake. Can't stand real.

And the cats don't gnaw on the wires, they gnaw on the bows and bat at the ornaments so they can gnaw on them.

One year one of the cats jumped on the tree from the top of the stairs to get the angel, and toppled it.

We had a cat climb onto a nearby chair, jump to the ledge over the fireplace, then "attack" the Christmas tree, bringing down the star and most of the ornaments. Disgusting animal; it is no longer among us.

Knocking the angel or star off is worth 500 points - double score if you can take it down without taking the whole tree.
