	GWT is now in their GA!! Tired of ads?

This last turn, turn 142 (260AD), the F7 screen showed that GWT was building the Colossus. This turn, turn 143 (270AD), the F7 Screen shows that they have completed the Colossus!. This gives GWT both of the requirements for their GA.

So, the first turn of their GA was 260AD (they come after us on that turn). Their Last turn of the GA will be on 450AD (turn 161). Just after we finish our FP.

...well. Any chance that they might be going for a 20K victory? (Getting in cultural improvements and 1000-year doublings before the later-game slowdowns can REALLY help them in this department.)

Anyway, in that case, I'd guess that it was self-built as opposed to rushed. And that CGN is going to get hammered the instant GWT gets Chivalry.

We have also noticed that GWT had disconnected their Iron Again! If CGN doesn't do the same AND we don;t get Gunpowder Researched soon enough, CGN will be toast.

Ah, here it is. That's what I get for not paying attention over the holidays.

Damn, GWT is in good shape now. They have the Pyramids, Colossus (minor, I know), and their GA, with which they can pound out (or rather finish off) Leos, while building an obscene number of horsemen.

CGN is in deep ****.

I wouldn't bet on that, joncnunn.

If we play it right, we would have two palaces and 2 FPs against their 1 palace and one FP. Yes, they will get another pal/FP combo from GCA, but it will a very long time before GCA can get set up.

It would not be good if GWT hangs a lickin' on CGN, but it would not determine the winner.

I would not bet on CGN taking a licking right away anyway. They're not exactly weak in the production/commerce department and knights aren't that much worse than Ansars. If what they've said about having a large force headed to the front is true then the attrition/stalemate we've hoped for may come to pass. We'll see what happens.

Do you think CGN would be interested in assitance in war. We could advise them and in the event of war have a central command. They could give us troop positions and let us figure out the best course of action. Of course they wouldn't have to take the advice but 2 heads are better than one.

That woudl be a nice offer to make, but I think they would rather have a manifistation of our troops to help rather than just words of advice. That said, they may be willing to share info in order to get some advice. It's worth a shot if only to help them survive a war against two foes.

We can offer to give them advice on tactical movements, but unless they are responsive, do not go any further. A sovereign nation usually is not fond of another nation trying to run its military. I'm sure they feel they're quite secure and don't need any help from us. As they probably are. There's only so many places you can put troops on that front, after all...

Plus, another thing that we need to consider, is that CGN might still win this fight (or survive long enough for them own UU to make it's appearance). Who ever DOES win over there, we will ultimately have to face them on the feild of battle. It's better not to give them the (overall) Impression of our Tactical and Stratigic knowledge and expertise until it's ultimately too late.

Let's just help with advice on what GWT might do to them (and how), instead of trying to plan ultimate moves for them.

I agree with vonD - I see no problem with giving advice as long as it is scrutinised properly here first. Common sense advice would be fine, but we don't really want to tell them of any interesting manoeuvres we may dream up, or spend much of our precious time on THEIR problems. Whoever wins will end up in more direct conflict with us, no matter our mutual attitudinal history. If anything, we should hope that things stay as a stalemate. Following this line of thought, perhaps we should volunteer help ONLY if it is looking like CGN is getting into trouble.

Went to dig this up. It would seem that GWT in no longer in their GA, as of 5 turns ago, Turn 166 is the next turn to be played.
