Highs; Getting my PC together; getting competent enough at Civ to win on Deity; Rearranging furniture and working out how to dispose of old pieces (not so easy when you're incapacitated).
Low; Completely flunking my Object Oriented Programming exam (luckily I can retake this at a future stage, but I was aiming for at least a pass).

More highs:
My wife joining me in California.
My wife getting a nice job right away after her arrival.
Getting my master degree from Stanford and fundings for continuing in PhD.
Saddam getting a physical.
Bucs out of the playoff.
More lows:
One good friend dying of cancer.
My grandma can no longer recognize me (Alzheimer).
Played too much Icewind Dale 2 and Civ 3, and got a C+ in one of my class.

Low: My boss died in April, leaving the situation at the clinic in a precarious position since state law requires that the place be owned by a physician. Since then the clinic had to let the part-time doctors, who staffed the place in the evenings go, so I had to pick up their load of my boss AND the part-timers.
High: The place gets bought up by another ambulatory care group, with the tentative promise that the remaining staff will stay on.
Low: The doctor at the other clinic announced that he was giving his two week notice and using the last two weeks as vacation time. Now I have to shoulder his load and the other clinic's, but the new management hasn't had time to hire new doctor!
