I just recently started playing this game. I'm a bit confused about the following: I launched an attack on a city using a fusion tank. It was defended by 5 primitive units, like a phalynx, for example. My advanced unit was defeated. Please explain! How can the equivalent of a bunch of folks throwing stones beat an armored unit that has advanced armaments?I just recently started playing this game. Well, what does a "unit" represent? Is one unit = to one individual/vehicle? If that is the case I still don't believe that 5 men pounding their spears on the armor of a tank will defeat it. Has anyone played CTP2? Are more bonus points awarded to armored units?

Well it depends on your point of view, can that many Hoplites overrun a Tank, but then is it good for game balance that my expensive Tank gets beaten up by a few cheapo tin-men.
This is CtP2 by the way.
