Someone? How about YOU? The board assignments are out already. I suggest writing to your GM and tournament director and informing him/her of your situation with the new e-mail address. You might copy SnowFire as team captain as well.

Just some advice - TALK! Talk to the other players alot, get friendly with them. Its psychologically easier to stab a faceless 'enemy' than a friend - give your opponents a face to look at when they consider stabbing you.

Btw, did someone set up a link so we can discuss 'secret' stuff?

Well, I've sent more press to the three players I did have time to talk to already, then to all the players in some of my Apolyton games combined. That's why I like these games. My deadline for my game I GM is Nov. 1. I have 2/7 of the moves already. I called for them no more than four hours ago. This is how Apolyton dip should run.

All righty. I set up my Outlook to be hard-wired for the World Masters, and I just sent press to every player except Turkey (because his e-mail address won't work). I've never really done that before, contacting everyone in the game. And I think I'm the first person to talk to anyone in the entire game, which is awesome! Do it yourself, and soon!

I've found that I tend to become allies with whoever contacts me first, so I'm taking advantage of that!

This is your first time, LordStone? Hmm... Well, anyway, I've almost finished doing so right now.

Berzerker- Good point. Should we set up a private forum here for us? MarkG said in the past he'd allow it, and it certainly can't hurt us, even if it turns out we never use it after the first week. The only worries are people hacking in, I suppose... so should we go ressurect the topic on this?

And oh yes, some people in the past offered the use of their own forums for this- I'd be against such a measure. Links could easily be followed, there'd be no protection, and worst of all, a lot of us only visit Apolyton, so they wouldn't be used. I think a private forum that only posters in the S&D can access would be better.

Meef has told me we (Apolyton I from last year) will be getting prizes when WM99 ends for finishing 10th as a team COOL!

AND TALK! Meef says he sends emails everyday, and it wont hurt talking (without saying much) to players you're not involved with at the moment - future allies

I just checked the database to see if any 'polytoners had got to same board with my old board buddies, but didn't happen. Anyway, I only remembered two of them, so I'm worried, actually, that I didn't even remember Russia - I mean, the fellow stabbed me rather early in game repeatedly! Luckily I used that to propagandize to everyone and cause his premature death.
