What's a DL?
Not "who," mind you. Just "what?"

There are certain people on this board, who feel that they have seniority. They have been on this forum so long that their brain has shrunk and they are therefore totally unable to adjust to anyone having an oppinion which differs slighly from the official party line of the Republican party or any other 'common sense' party. If they encounter an argument or fact they cannot refute because they are a) unintelligent, b)unenergetic, or c) it simply cannot be refuted , they will resort to the use of calling the offender a DL.
Now when you think about it you can be fairly sure that the person accusing you of being a DL, has often times himself locked on under another handle.

A "DL" is another username that a forum member registers. Usually, they go to the OTF and start explosively offensive or radical threads (or just funny, a few times.)
How can you recognize DLs?
o Registration date. Someone who posts in the OTF today, and registered today, is probably a DL.
o Post count. A Settler who recently registered and is posting in the OTF is probably a DL.
o Topic. What are they talking about? No one would waste thier DL on something worthless like a joke list or something. However, if a Settler that registered Jan 2004 comes in and starts posting new heavily political or just plain awful threads, he's a DL.
o Who posts in his threads. Sometimes, a DL's creator will post in the DL's thread.
o The DL's response?. If a DL already knows what "double login" stands for, then he's definitely a DL.
Sometimes, there are exceptions. For example, a Settler Jan 2004 might just be starting a joke thread, and not be a DL. Other times, the "DL" might actually be a long-time lurker. (However, in this instance, there's no harm on the noob, because he's lurked enough to know what the reaction will be.)
In this instance, the thread starter could not be a DL because he is a Prince, registered in Jan 2000, and is at least somewhat recognizable (I remember the name).
The best way to respond to a DL is:
quote: DL! DL!
