Ok fellow comic book (or for the elitists: Graphic Novel) readers, who, in your opinion is the best comic book character ever?
Style points will be rewarded based on how the character became what they are, memorable storylines, chief opponents, love interest, and who was best drawn.
I'll start:
Best Comic Book Character Ever: Batman (boo-hiss "I wanted Lobo")
- Had his parents killed right in front of him by his future nemesis. Grew up with one hell of a screwed up head in a city that makes Depression era Chicago look cozy.
- Memorable Storylines: Too many to count.
- Chief Opponents: The Joker, the Penguin, Clayface, Two-Face, the Riddler, Bane, Scarecrow, etc...
- Love Interests: A cat infatuated kleptomaniac, the daughter of the oldest villian in the world.
- Art: A bunch of decent artists. The best one was Alex Ross, but then again he didn't do the comic.

Some of you are adults. Don't any of you read anything but the stuff I started reading when I was six?
Katchoo, from Strangers in Paradise, is a lot more interesting than any superhero.

Although, I just realized that the poll asks who would win in a fight. Superman has a bit of an edge there, although I think Katchoo might whup Batman's butt if he pissed her off bad enough.
