This game is a forum gladiator event similar to the 1st one. However, there are some rule changes to spice up the event. Please post your gladiators name and weapon shield combo
1. You get 100 points to start, you gain no points by winning.
2. You must distribute your 100 points to 3 attack/defends per combat round.
EX:
1st A11 D11 P11
2nd A12 D8 P15
3rd A15 D2 P15
No more than 50 points per line. Each ADP is compared to the opponents ADP. 1st<-->1st, etc.
3. (Edited) Ties result in 50% power damage rounded down. 0 attack 0 defense ties are possible.
4. Everyone plays everyone in round robin format in the first round, and the winners go on to the semifinals. The round robin tourney is one combat round only. Four qualifiers will go to the semis and will win by being the first player to get his opponent under 50 points. The final tourney is to the death.
5. (Edited) Each player has 20 points to distribute to weapons and armour. This is public knowledge and is sent in with your gladiators name. Half of these points are added to each of the 3 A/Ds. They also add their full values to power (if hit) and subtract from power (if hit) respectively.
I will not participate in the tourney, but serve as mediator for all combats. That way no one but me will know your fighting style. The commentaries for round robin will be brief and then more glorious from there.

Will we be subtracting halfs from the action points then? Or will the rounding down apply there?

No, originally half were a waste, but I changed the rules not to round at all.
Example:
You W5A15, opponent W10A10
You A17 D10 P15 modified to A19.5 D17.5 P20
Opp A12 D14 P15 modified to A17 D19 P25
End result is that you hit for 20-10=10 points and your opponents strike is blocked. |
Blah. I forgot that we subtract the power from the action points, not the attack. Sorry.

I don't know... First, we condense the three days' worth of orders into one. Then, we condense essentiall four fights for each person into one... I realize that this will expedite the process greatly and all, but it just seems to defeat the spirit of the game... I mean, the whole idea is to make one trying round against a person, then see how they respond and structure your next blow depending on what you think your opponent's reaction will be.
With the new rules, however, you are essentiall coming up with a number of random distributions, which ultimately determine the result of the fight... I guess that might only be a problem for the first fight, but... I don't know, we'll see. Just looks sorta suspicious to me, that's all.
