1090ad turn report

GS sent us Scientific Method and WM. Accepted.

Upgraded another Catapult.

Changed San Diego to build a Granary (San Diego makes a lot more sense as a worker pump. It has high growth and low shields).

Moved Nina towards the Eastern Port.

Sent GS our WM accepted.

Why do we need a worker pump? We have no tiles to upgrade thanks to GS.

Arnelos suggested the worker pump to allow us to grow our cities. It's a pretty good idea. We, in fact, did so with all of our former workers.

You are modernizing the army every turn, has this to do with some war plans or something?

From the Diplo thread, 7/29/04:
quote:

news: not really, but let me confirm our invasion date with you: we should sail in 15 turns, invade in 18. We're still hoping you will join us, contributing e.g. a transport full of conqs (more always nice, of course). We're not sure how the war is going to progress, and if we would gain land for both of us there, but let's see that when we get there

Monterry and El Paso both finish Factories. Both begin on Conquistadors (every 2 turns).

Moved Pinta to join Nina in San Antonio harbor. Our 3rd Galleon (Santa Maria) will be built there next turn.

Santa Barbara finishes factory in 3 turns.
San Diego finishes granary in 3 turns.

Our military is average compared to Vox. Weak to all others.

Sent WM and 100g to GS.

Receive Steel and WM from GS
Santa Barbara builds Factory. Starts work on Infantry
San Diego builds Granary. Starts work on Worker, then Barracks.

Tried to adjust WF but Santa Barbara cannot get any more sheilds without losing fpt. It is currently balanced at 0fpt. It can work 2 more tiles (coastal) and I plan to add 2 more workers to it to maximize commerce in that city.

Monterrey is also maxed out. 0fpt. There are no more tiles for it to work.

El Paso, when it grows, has no more tiles to work, so the next pop unit will be a specialist and growth will cease (it's at 2fpt now)

San Diego is making 4fpt and growing every 5 turns, but has no more tiles to work, which is why I am building workers there and sending them to Santa Barbara.

San Antonio is at 2fpt and growing every 10 turns. It has 6 extra coastal tiles to work so workers should also be funneled in that direction.

Received WM from GS.
Sent wM and 100g to GS.

Built Infantry in Santa Barbara. For some reason we never built a Bank there, so starting on that.

We now have 13 Conquistadors and 6 infantry.

There is Polution near El Paso and we need to get GS to come in and clean it up. It has taken away sheilds from El Paso, so it cannot complete a Conquistador next turn. I changed El Paso to Infantry so that we don't waste too many sheilds.

We also need them to give us an ETA on the invasion.

No idea why it took the turn this long to move around.

GS gifts us WM, Iron, Oil, Furs.
Gifted WM + 100g to GS.

El Paso builds Conquistador.

Upgraded all 5 of our Galleons to Transports for 400g (80*5). 40 units of carrying capacity.

Changed Galleon build to Transport build because we may not have oil next turn ... GS was going to gift it to us for just one turn.

Current army:
4 knights
7 Infantry
6 Artillary
5 Transports
18 Conquistadors

We begin shipping off to war this turn!

GS gifts us WM.
I send GS our WM and 100g.

El Paso builds Conquistador. Start on Infantry
Change Monterrey to Infantry
Change San Antonio to Bank

From a look a the WM it's clear that no invasion has occured yet, no cities have exchanged hands and there are no cities in ruin.

I load every single unit we have into the transports and we ship off in a South-Eastern direction, along the edge of the GS border.

GS sent us Mobilized Transport accepted and WM.
WM and 100g sent to GS

A review of the map shows no Lego cities captured and no change of cities on any side.

Our 5 Transports (Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria, Espania, Gran Rey) filled with ALL of our units (view the F3 shot above) travel 2, 3, 3, 3. Final location = 9 9 of Inchoff.

Units renamed per Arnelos's suggestions, except our knights and artillary retained their original names.
