Economical theory of warez (illegal software copies) Tired of ads?

Ming, please read this

I made a small research of software market (mostly PC games) based on internet surveys and basic economical laws. It actually proves that warez is part of economy that can not be removed. Practical formula proves that if half of copies are warez real loses are only 15.3%. It's not a pro-warez research, it's just explanation of fact and it's reason. If Both Ming and DanQ allow me to post it i'll post full mathematical model of warez demand here.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Not demand is actually exponential function. OK, waiting for DanQ's confirmation.

Are you being serious?

If demand was exponential, the internet would be unusable right now.

Demand is not just a function of price.

For Warez, it's certainly possible.

Conduct an experiment, make a game have an MSRP of $10,000 and see if that affects demand of pirated versions.

Got spare money?

2Urban Ranger.
You are right. It's why my formula is not absolutely right. For example those who buy one copy for 3 friends for $30 are considered $10 and not legal guy and two warezists.

Death penaulty for warez would reduce warez, but warez part of copies will go to abandonware without increase of profit.
