Nikolai recollects his tale to the village. He is stirred in the middle of the night by the sound of a gunshot. He rushes out of his house just in time to see a shadowy figure dart down the alley. It was too dark to make out any other details of the person.

He looks out into the street and sees Kassiopeia lying face down in the street with a bullet hole in his head. There was a note on the body that read, "You were getting way too close!"

Day breaks on the village...let the voting begin.

I think I'm going to go for Skanky. Nicolai seems too obvious, Guy's been away and rah hasn't been that suspisous IMHO.

The reason for this vote is thus: Skanky has been online less lately, and while he has posted a reasonable amount in this thread, it has been in clumps. That would explain when the night is very short or long. He also seems to be less active than usual, and his role of marshall seems to have been stopped (the GM would hardly have a marshall as the mafia).

I'm still unsure, but IMHO the most likely candidate is Skanky.

Dude, SC, that's a dead giveaway! Let's see, who was Nikolai blaming throughout all of this thread? Well, only two people: me and... Drogue! So it's either Nikolai or Drogue. I'd say the latter. But that doesn't count much, now does it, since not only am I dead, I got all the grey matter squeezed out of my head, too.

If you mean the note, I presumed it was related to Kassi getting too close to finding out. But Kassi only suspected Ghengis, AFAIK, and we know it isn't him. Besides, I wouldn't think SC would give you a clue to who it was in the story. They are just stories, AFAIK?

Ummmmm, vovan... I suspected Drogue right after the start of the round, but never voted on him.

Well, let's see...who can be the responsible? Skanky is going after me all the time now; can I be dangerous for him, if he is the Mafia? Am I that clever? Naaahhhh... Don't think so. But he is my only clue right now, so good bye, Skanky!

The village has spoken:

Rah tells Nikolai and Drogue to grab ahold of Skanky and pulls a silenced 45 auto out of his coat. (Meanwhile the rest of the villagers are wondering what Rah is doing with a handgun). He sticks the barrel to Skanky's head and asks him if he is the Mafia. Skanky admits to being the Mafia.

Game over!

End game: Pave was actually the first mafia, and then Skanky was picked to replace him. The villagers must be getting smarter since they nailed both Mafias this time.

Also no clues were given in the stories, just goofin' off with it. I do not know who will be the next GM, but I'm too busy with my other game right now to do it again. I can play; however!

all the way back right before I was killed

I was goign to say to kill Skanky Burns

but didn't want to say anything because I was afraid that the Mafia would kill me

afterwards I was silent because it was more fun that way (actually playing dead)

I did leave a clue though (I said evil poster, a reverence to Mr Burns of the Simpsons)

you could tell because of how he posted on the first page
